Finding out that I was a prophet–apostle confirmed a prophetic word over my life that was given to me 18 months before I did the course. -- Chris Biggs
Finding out that I was a prophet–apostle confirmed a prophetic word over my life that was given to me 18 months before I did the course. It helped me to identify why some things that I get involved in bore me and some things motivate me. It also helped me to be more confident of God’s enabling when moving ahead in prophetic and apostolic areas. Before being asked I jumped at the opportunity of using my apostle and leadership gifts in establishing, planning and leading music team rehearsals because I knew that it was an area that my giftings and grace would be suited to. The Vocations 4 Life course has made me aware that I don’t like to maintain things and there is potential for that to be a weakness of mine in a leadership position. That is part of living with the tension and I am more at peace with this and look to identify others who are wired up to be great maintainers and love the things that would bore me in the day–to–day functions at work and in the gathering. Ben Gray clearly argues the case for the need for Christians to think and live from a Hebraic Biblical worldview. If Christians are to impact the spheres of creation there needs to be a significant shift from the thinking of the Greek worldview … Heaven’s Answer to Earth’s Dilemma is a must read.
Ben Gray is asking important questions about the relevancy of the church as it is currently structured and mobilized in the 21st century. What is the church? How should it look NOW? I loved his fresh and exciting approach to these important questions.
[Heaven's Answer] reveals how we might live and breathe in a real hope that goes beyond that of seeing the restoration of apostles, to, as Ben says, the release and deployment of an apostolic company (the church) of grace-filled believers to accomplish their God-given assignments in all of life.
Heaven’s Answer to Earth’s Dilemma is a far-reaching book that reveals the mind of a brilliant apostolic practitioner with a passion to see the nations of the earth experience the kind of Shalom that can only emanate from a vibrant, organic saints’ movement.
